Congratulations to our 2026 Outstanding Community Members

Taylor doesn’t wait to be asked. She packs food for kids through Blessings in a Backpack, joins community beautification projects, and lends her artistic talent to schools and local organizations, all while running her own banner and window‑painting business.

She’s an all‑A student taking dual‑enrollment courses at Chipola College, serves as Florida FCCLA Vice President of Parliamentary Law, and is class president for the third year running. She also made history as the first female golfer at her school. Through all of it, helping others stays at the top of her list.

Years ago, Garrett saw that women leaving jail or prison had nowhere safe to land, and she refused to look away. She started by opening her own living room. Step by step, with the help of her family, volunteers, and donors, she turned a run‑down building in Bristol into Earthen Vessels Women’s Recovery.

Today it’s a place of restoration and hope that meets a need no one else in Calhoun or Liberty counties was filling. Through hardship of her own, Garrett has kept going, and the women she serves are now paying it forward.
